Covid-19 Information
To those that have joined the Robinson Animal Hospital family, we
hope you are all staying safe and healthy. We will continue to provide
our highest medical care for your furry friends while following
recommended CDC and AVMA guidelines to keep everyone safe. With
that in mind the following steps will be implemented at Robinson
Animal Hospital.
1)
Clients who are experiencing respiratory illness or that may have been exposed to
someone who is will be asked to reschedule their appointment. Our staff is required to
stay home if they are sick and we ask that you do the same to help lower the risk of
exposing others.
2)
New appointment protocols will be set in place to keep the hospital running smoothly
while minimizing risks associated with Covid-19
a.
Owners will no longer be able to enter the building with their pet, they will need
to call the hospital once they have arrived in the parking lot, at that time the
technician will obtain the history of the pet and review the estimate with the
owner over the phone. After completing the history and reviewing the estimate a
technician will come out and get your pet from your vehicle. We ask that you stay
in the car for the duration of your appointment. Services will be performed by the
doctor and staff. We will then bring your pet back to the car, as well as any
medications that need to go home. The doctor or technician will discuss the visit
with you over the phone and then transfer you to reception to pay for your visit.
b.
At this time, we are only accepting debit or credit payments over the
phone. By
avoiding cash
, check, and physical card
transactions we hope to help find another
effective route to reduce any exposure to you or our staff.
3)
If your pet requires that you accompany them for the visit, one owner (adult) will be
allowed to enter
only in
special circumstances. This must be approved by Dr. Head or the
practice manager prior to the appointment.
4)
Any owner that wishes to board their pet is more than welcome to utilize that service. To
help facilitate a low risk environment for our staff and boarders the following protocols
have been set in place:
a.
Only medications and prescription diets will be able to be brought with your pet
while boarding with us
.
b.
Any patient boarding that has been in a household with a sick family member will
be denied boarding until further notice.
5)
Patient transfer from vehicles to the hospital will need to be done in the following
manner:
a.
Cats will need to be in a carrier
b.
Small dogs can be in a carrier or on a leash
c.
Large dogs will need to be on a leash
*These protocols are subject to change as the emerging situation changes.
We hope to make this a smooth transition in this difficult time and ask that all family members of
the Robinson Animal Hospital remain patient and understanding of the current situation and
times ahead.
