Our Team


From the time that Dr. Daniel Robinson founded Robinson Animal Hospital in 1981 to the present-day, our staff of veterinarians, care providers and support personnel has remained committed to serving our patients and their families in Clayton, eastern Wake and western Johnston Counties and throughout the greater Raleigh areas.

The current team at Robinson Animal Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Thomas G. Head, has a passion for our work.  We combine our love of animals with our years of expertise, in order to provide our patients with the highest caliber of care possible.

Dr. Thomas G. Head, DVM
Dr. Head is a 1996 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked alongside Dr. Robinson from 1997 until the beginning of 2001. Dr. Head purchased the practice and the hospital from Dr. Robinson in June of 2011. Dr. Head currently resides in eastern Wake county with his wife, and they have one daughter. They have a Havanese dog named Desi and a tabby kitten named Jasper Bennett. Dr. Head and his family are actice members of Celebration Church. He looks forward to meeting each and everyone of you and your pets!

 




 

Dr. Emma Hage Wahl, DVM
Dr. Hage is a graduate from St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies where she earned her doctorate in 2009. She completed her clinical year at Murdoch University in Western Australia and has worked at various small animal and feline only practices throughout the US. Dr. Hage moved to Clayton, NC with her family and tabby cat and has interests in small animal medicine, especially pertaining to felines and dentistry.

 

 



Jenn P., RVT - Practice Manager
Jenn was born in Raleigh and raised in Bunn, North Carolina. After completing her B.S. in Communications from East Carolina University in 2005, Jenn worked as a Corporate and News video editor until the recession allowed her to follow her lifelong dream of working with animals. Jenn went back to school in 2013, and in 2015 she graduated from Central Carolina Community College with her degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. She is now a Registered Veterinary Technician with the state of North Carolina. Jenn currently lives in Apex with her boyfriend, Josh, and her beloved cat, Cindy Mew Who. She enjoys photography, traveling, and baking in her spare time.

Caroline B. - Receptionist
Caroline was born in Vladivostok, Russia, was adopted March 2001 and then moved to North Carolina with her family. In 2020, Caroline graduated from Johnston Community College with her Associates Degree. After graduating she transferred to the University of North Carolina - Wilmington and graduated with her Bachelors in Business Administration. She and her Emotional Suppor Animal, Nova, met Caroline's first year at UNCW and have been inseperable since. They like to go on long walks and long board rides joined by Caroline's boyfriend. In her free time she likes to take on art projects and enjoys photography. Caroline joined us to pursue her dreams of working with animals while staying in a business related position so she gets the best of both worlds.
 




Marla S. - Receptionist
Marla was born and raised in Vermont and has lived in North Carolina for 18 years.
She has had a love for animals since she was a child always having dogs and guinea pigs as part of her family. Since moving to NC, she has rescued and fostered many dogs, some from high-kill shelters within the state.  Marla has taken some Veterinary Assistant courses at Johnston Community College to expand her knowledge of animal health.  She loves working at reception as it allows her to meet all our clients and their pets! Marla loves hockey and is a die-hard Carolina Hurricanes fan. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren!  She currently lives in Clayton with her family and her two dogs.





 
Carley B. - Veterinary Assistant
Carley was born and raised in Smithfield, North Carolina. All her life she had ambitions to work in the animal field. She currently attends Ashworth Community College where she will graduate with her Associates Degree and move forward to completing her VTNE to become a Registered Veterinary Technician in North Carolina.  Carley has 3 dogs, Winston, Olsen, and Trek, and a horse named Lennon. Growing up with both large and small animals has allowed Caley to be well-rounded in many species. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, and riding her horse.
 

 


Sara M. - Veterinary Assistant
Sara moved to North Carolina from Newtown, Connecticut in February of 2013. Shortly after moving to NC, she studied Veterinary Technology at Miller-Motte College and plans to complete her Veterinary Technician certification once she perfects her skills. Sara has had a strong passion for animals since she was a small child and frequently takes in rescues and fosters. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and their houseful of animals including five dogs, seven cats, a ring-necked dove, a sugar glider, a rose haired tarantula, and various fosters.

Cruz R., CVA - Certified Veterinary Assistant
Cruz was born in Smithfield, North Carolina and has always wanted to work with animals. Through his High School he was able to become a certified veterinary assistant through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. He currently resides in Four Oaks with his very opinionated cat, Binx.


 




 

Caitlyn R. - Veterinary Assistant
Caitlyn was born in Clayton, North Carolina and has lived here all of her life! She is currently attending Campbell University studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine in hopes of becoming a Veterinarian. Once she graduates she plans to continue working for animal hospitals doing what she loves. In her free time, she enjoys cuddling with her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.

 

  


 

Ashton T. - Veterinary Assistant
Ashton was born and raised in Garner, NC. She has always loved animals, but her career path started in Early Childhood Development where she worked in the Wake County Public School System for a few years. While Ashton loved working with children, her real passion is animal health (and animals in general). She is currently following the path to become a Registered Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster’s Veterinary Program.  She currently shares a home in Benson with her FiancĂ©, 3 dogs, a kitty, and 12 hunting dogs!

 



 

Taylor S. - Veterinary Assistant
Taylor was born in Binghamton, New York and spent some time in Florida before calling North Carolina home. She has always wanted to work with animals and is very passionate about their care and well-being. She is currently interested in pursuing becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician, or a Veterinarian! She has a large interest in all animals, but especially our pocket-pet friends (Guinea Pigs and Rabbits) and is owned by a Guinea Pig named Bugsy and a Pit-mix pup named Prince. She likes to spend her free time with her family and watching movies with her boyfriend.
